Central Florida Hunting Retriever Club

Welcome to the

Central Florida Hunting Retriever Club

The CFHRC is sanctioned by the United Kennel Club, Inc. (UKC) and the Hunting Retriever Club, Inc. (HRC).

We focus on having fun and training our retrievers to participate in realistic hunt tests and to be a better hunting partner. We’re a family oriented club and welcome new members. The club gathers once per month in the Central Florida area (west of Orlando) for training sessions.

In December we host a Hunt Test, and in the fall and spring host Mock (practice) tests and hold 1-2 seminars each year. Perhaps most importantly, we put you in touch with good people who love retrievers. Look over the information we have provided and come visit one of our meetings. If you have any questions, please email us.

See you in the field!

Cole Fertic
On June 2, 2016 The Central Florida Hunting Retriever Club lost a friend and member when Cole Fertic passed away.  Cole was an active member of the club as a handler and helped at numerous events. He was a true sportsman who had a smile on his face for everyone.

Cole and Misty Training Jack and Cole March 21 2015

In loving memory of Cole Fertic, family and friends will gather together Saturday, June 11th at 10 am at the Big Pond at Wayne Gey’s Golden Oaks Ranch.  This will be a brief time of reflection and the spreading of Cole’s ashes at a place he loved and spent many years doing what he loved, training dogs.  CFHRC’s June training day is being held this same day and we will halt training around 9:45 am so that people at the training day can attend the service.
